Vacuum Technology

Is BeautyGard used on Naugaform products; e.g., golf cart seat and other vac-form applications?
BeautyGard is used on Naugaform 4000 (AVS). Where “pour-in-place” foam formulations are used in vacuum forming processes, the synergy of chemical formulations becomes more critical and should be reviewed individually.

Which method is most suitable for my part, injection moulding or vacuum forming ?
This depends on your part. As a guide – use vacuum forming if parts thickness is uniform, A4 paper size or more & the annual quantities needed are low (10-5000) OR use injection moulding if parts wall thickness differs, is less than A4 paper size & annual quantities needed are medium-high (1000-100,000+)We often get asked this question as neither Joan, Joseph, Adam, or myself are what you could call a sculpturing genius. It took us over 12 months working hard to modify the industrial production methods that we use to make hobby and professional style vacuum formed moulds. The usual production method for making this type of mould, is to start off by sculpting your original in potters clay or one of the newer air hardening or oven hardening clays.

Is it possible to have e.g. product identifiction, text instructions or logos on my parts ?
This is possible for both vacuum forming & injection moulding and can be achieved in a number of ways. Text or logos can be engraved on mould tools so as to be either recessed or stood up on the injection moulding or vacuum forming, or it can be hot foil or pad printed on the parts after moulding or forming.Material is ABS Plastic and the manufacturing process is vacuum forming.

Before making mold tools can you produce test part/s for me to try in my assembly ?
Yes ! We can create or use your CAD models to make stereolithographic model/s for you. If needed, these can be used to make 10-20 vacuum cast models in a resin close to the final molding material.Yes, moldings can be made in clear materials, a range of standard colours or a specific colour to match a mating part ( view examples ), but they would cost more than the same parts in their base material colour.
