Have A Wee Bit Of Fun With A St. Patrick’s Day Event

In America we have adopted the Irish celebration of St. Patrick’s Day and transformed it into our own day of enjoying Irish culture and having fun. If you are charged with the task of creating a huge event or perhaps your annual company party, why not plan it around this festive holiday. You will find tons of ideas that are sure to help you create the perfect event.

First of all, think about ambiance you wish to create. Decorate the entrance to make it appear as though guests are walking into an Irish pub. You can decorate your party room with green LED string lights and green clover garland. Cover tables with white cloths and scatter shamrock confetti across the top for a festive touch.

In addition to LED string lights, consider using a bunch of LED items to light up your party. LightGod.com, for example, has a huge selection of green and St. Patrick’s Day items to consider. For instance, you can purchase light-up green pilsners and beer mugs, as well as other light-up, LED drink glasses, such as LED wine glasses or LED martini glasses.

There are also a myriad of light-up favors that use LED technology. Flashing, blinking pins are available in the shape of beer mugs, shamrocks and even a rainbow and shamrock combination. You can also purchase wild items like the shamrock-shaped LED sunglasses or glowing LED hair extensions in a bright green hue.

No party would be complete without a good selection of food and drink. Obviously beer is an essential element of any St. Patrick’s Day party, and you can include a variety of brews or even set up a tasting bar and serve up a few varieties in tiny glasses for your guests. For the food, don’t forget the corned beef and cabbage, which can be made easier with a sandwich bar where guests can load up sandwiches with thinly sliced beef, sauerkraut and a variety of condiments and cheeses. You could also add steaming pots filled with hearty Irish stew and serve it along with Irish soda bread.

Playing traditional Irish music is yet another way to set the scene at your St. Patrick’s Day event, so be sure that there are some Irish tunes playing in the background. Feel free to add some more modern artists from the Emerald Isle, such as Enya, The Boomtown Rats, U2, The Cranberries and more.
