A lot of people have no idea how to get rid of dandruff. It is a normal occurrence that happens in most people. It is basically formed by multiplication of too much superficial yeast on the scalp. This is why it is white and flaky. Sometimes it can be a bit embarrassing especially if one is in a public setting because it could lead one to scratch the scalp thereby making the situation more evident, but its a condition that can be easily dealt with.
There are several factors that contribute to this condition. The most common and most self explanatory has to be that it is passed on from parent to child in some cases. Hair care items such as sprays, lotions and conditioners could also contribute to its existence.
Bad grooming has also been known to elevate its levels as well as poor hygiene. The food that one eats could very well be the cause of a beginning disorder. In some cases, people who are stressed could experience it at a certain point in time.
The most inexpensive way to control the levels of fluff would be with regular washing of the head and scalp. This should be done using shampoo care that is well known as cheap unknown products could make the case worse. Products that are specifically dedicated to treating this condition can be used. These products usually have anti yeast formula and if used once or twice a week they could help eradicate the problem entirely.
Natural methods of getting rid of the stuff vary. After the washing of hair one could try rubbing it with yogurt and leaving it in for ten to fifteen minutes. Yogurt is sometimes used as a conditioner. Fresh lemon juice could also be massaged on the scalp before or right after a bath.
Natural oils such as baby and coconut could also assist in masking the problem the only condition with this alternative is that one cannot use any form of conditioner. Application of these oils should be done on the scalp only and after this the head should be washed thoroughly.
Basically the best recommended way on how to get rid of dandruff would be to wash the hair. One should do it every day if possible. This way one not only cleans the hair but the scalp as well. The use of the above guidelines is not a sure way that the flakes will disappear but it goes a long way in controlling the problem at hand.
